The last week and a half has been kind of a downer. I am having a crazy amount of school with the end of the semester coming, my stomach has been killing me (probably stress from school), and I have been feeling some of the effects of being so far away from loved ones.
I worked almost all day on Thanks Giving. One thing after another started coming up and because I am taking online classes I didn't get off of school either. I had a lab report due by midnight CO time. By the time I was done working and made the pie we drove to dinner witch was good and I am so very glad Tami was there to talk to and understands how not spending thanksgiving with your family feels. I did get to video chat everyone for about 5 minutes back home then they had to leave cause no one could hear me. So that was a bit hard. Then I was up till 1:50 doing school. Bleck
I have also been noticing that some friends are talking to me less and less as time goes on. Some whom I used to talk with every day I maybe get a sentence a week from. It was bound to happen, I am guilty of doing it to my friends that moved away. It is kind of an out of sight out of mind thing. It is very hard to stay connected to people that are far away. I knew that coming out here but it is still hard to slowly loose that spot I used to have in people's lives. Friendships change and that's okay. I still consider all theses people my friends and have no bitterness... just one of the "growing pains" of moving away I guess and it is just kind of a bummer and it is hard to see some friends getting closer with other friends as they spend less time with me. I am glad they have their people it is just hard to watch "my spot" get taken if that makes since. As I am sure it is hard for them to see me spending more time with friend out here.
My brother purposed to his gf (YAY!) but I had no idea they were even any where close to that! And he forgot to mention anything about it to me ;-) Not mad but it was just another reminder of things I am missing being here. That is hard..... Bound to get a lil "home sick" though.
I still am so incredibly thankful and happy for so many things that I wont let these few downs keep me gloomy. My horses are coming, I am learning so much every day!! I have always wanted to advance my skills in jumping and guess what I have been doing?! Jumping! I have a few great new friends here to ease my ache for friends back home, classes will be over in a week and a half, I am working hard but I am also making more money then most people my age. I am going to have another sister added to the family whom never fails to make me laugh and I absolutely love! And Tami came over tonight to help me decorate my Christmas tree. So over all life is good. There are a few shots I took on Thanks Giving.
